Purpose

The purpose of this book is not to provide detailed information on every facet of church administration, but rather to make pastors and administrators aware of the areas they need to address. There are books listed under references that will provide the detailed information.

This book contains several suggested operating procedures and guidelines for addressing a multitude of situations, from handling tithes and offerings to properly recording contributions. We have found that these methods work well and provide the credibility and accountability that is required in handling other peoples' money. We hope that they will work in your church.

We have included examples of completed forms for the requirements of the Federal Government. However, we have omitted any state forms due to the variations in laws from state to state.
